The essentials

Veyra is a cognitive assessment and skills-training platform designed for schools. It assesses how students think across focus, thinking and memory, and provides personalised, evidence-informed strategies, plus a genuine game world where students build the skills that were flagged.

No, and it isn't a label. It's a way of understanding how a student learns. It doesn't diagnose anything or put a student in a box. It provides structured cognitive insight that supports teachers, clinicians and families in understanding how a student thinks and learns.

Secondary school students aged 11–18, used universally across whole cohorts, and particularly valuable for students with SEND profiles or difficulties with attention, memory and organisation. Whole-cohort use is how the quietly-struggling students get seen.

Never. It supports them. Professional judgement always comes first. Veyra gives teachers, SENCOs and families better information to work with, and scalable strategy training that complements human expertise.

Traditional routes often involve long waits and one-off reports. Veyra is digital, scalable and repeatable, combining culture-fair cognitive assessment with targeted skills training and guided strategy coaching, run by the school itself.

Running it in school

It fits the school day. One lesson, on screen, led by any teacher. No specialist staff and no major disruption, and we're here to help if you'd like training.

The assessment fits within a normal lesson, with practice rounds built in. Training is delivered in structured modules over several weeks, with flexibility depending on your setting.

The assessment runs on iPad and Windows. We'll confirm device requirements during setup and work around what your school already has.

Our assessments are designed to minimise language and cultural bias. They aim to measure thinking skills rather than background knowledge, helping ensure fairer results for students where English is not a first language.

On Partner and Pioneer tiers, the teacher dashboard includes Ask Veyra, an AI assistant grounded in your school's actual assessment data. Ask about a student, a class or a strategy and get an answer you can act on, guard-railed the same way the in-game guide is. See it in action →

Trust & safety

Yes. Data protection and safeguarding are central to the design. The platform is built in line with UK GDPR standards, with secure institutional logins and anonymised data handling for research. The school stays in control of its data throughout. More on data & security →

Veyra, the in-game guide, is guard-railed: it asks before it tells, speaks only to the student's actual progress, and never claims to be a teacher, therapist or doctor. When something is out of scope, it says so and points to a person. Its boundaries are designed with clinicians and reviewed continuously.

Yes. The platform is grounded in cognitive remediation research and informed by collaboration with clinicians and academic partners at Imperial College London and King's College London. Development is supported by UK government innovation funding. See the evidence →

Veyra is being developed for use across both education and healthcare contexts, helping bridge the gap between school-based support and clinical pathways. In schools today, its role is early insight and structured skills support at the universal and targeted tiers.
