How we look after the people who use Veyra, and the data schools trust us with.
Student data is handled carefully and protected in line with UK GDPR and the ICO Children's Code. We connect to your school through Wonde, collect only the information we need, and your school can see exactly what is shared. Schools stay in control of their data throughout. We never sell personal data, and we never use it for advertising or profiling. Research uses anonymised data, subject to ethical approval and consent procedures. Safeguarding is central to the design of the platform, including the guard-rails around the in-game guide.
The data controller is Schologists Magna Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (no. 14716296). Registered office: 20–22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU. For privacy matters, contact privacy@schologists.co.uk. This policy took effect on 10 October 2025.
Veyra is used by students aged 11 to 18, always through their school or an authorised educational organisation. The platform treats all users as potentially vulnerable by default, and applies enhanced protections accordingly.
Student information your school shares through Wonde, such as names, year groups and class lists; cognitive assessment responses; learning interaction data; technical and operational information; and the reports the platform generates.
We collect the minimum Veyra needs to run for your school, and nothing else: no photographs, no location data and no social media information. Your school can see exactly which data points are shared through Wonde.
Veyra connects to your school's management information system through Wonde, the schools data-integration platform. Your school authorises the connection and stays in control of it: you can see exactly which data points Veyra receives through Wonde, and access can be reviewed or revoked by the school at any time.
Data supports four things: cognitive feedback for students, reporting for educators, improving the assessment itself, and safeguarding awareness. It is never used for advertising, behavioural profiling or commercial marketing.
We process data on the basis of public task or legitimate interests, consent (including parental consent for minors), and research purposes with anonymisation or explicit consent.
We do not sell personal data. Sharing is limited to school staff, GDPR-compliant service providers, and approved research partners, all under contractual confidentiality obligations.
Protection includes encryption, secure authentication systems, role-based access controls and regular security reviews. Data is stored within the UK, or in jurisdictions with equivalent data protection standards.
Data is kept while an account remains active under the school's agreement, and is then deleted or anonymised. Schools may request deletion at any time.
Under UK GDPR you may access your personal data, request correction, request deletion, and lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
There is no open user-to-user messaging, and there are no public profiles. Access is controlled by the school, and staff and student views are kept separate. Veyra supports schools' safeguarding work; it does not replace the safeguarding responsibilities schools hold.
Research data is anonymised or pseudonymised, subject to ethical approval where required, and participation is voluntary and consent-based.
Veyra is not a medical device. It does not provide medical diagnoses, clinical treatment or therapeutic interventions.
The service complies with UK GDPR, the ICO Children's Code and relevant app-store requirements.
